A Technology Milestone

In 1989, just prior to entering my first year at university, I was lucky enough to take a tour of the central computer room for the campus. It was all quite impressive to me at the time, and the person showing us around was very proud of the fact that the total storage capacity of the computer systems there was 15 gigabytes. We all ooh'ed and aah'ed.
Today, while picking up some laptop RAM, I saw that 16 gigabyte Micro SD cards are now for sale. This marks an important milestone, and defines an interesting metric: I can now accidentally swallow as much storage as the entire computer department of my university when I entered it.
So I hereby define this as the Bucior Constant, in honour of, well, myself: The amount of time it takes before you can accidentally swallow the entire storage capacity of your university, and I give it the value 20 years.
